  • St. Albans Student Exchange Shop

The Student Exchange Shop (SES) is a parent-run store that sells gently used school clothing, including blazers, shirts, ties, pants, and athletic wear. Each year parents and students generously donate hundreds of freshly laundered STA dress code items to the Student Exchange Shop. The clothing is then resold at vastly discounted rates to students, parents and faculty. The revenue from the sale of donations provides the Parents’ Association with funds to support a wide range of classroom and faculty programs.

In addition, the SES also produces seasonal collections of STA approved logo gift items such as ties, cufflinks, golf umbrellas, belts, and sports bags, with all profits benefitting Parents’ Association programs.

Over the past century, the students, faculty, staff, and families of St. Albans have created lasting memories on the Close. Three history books, from 1934, 1981, and 2010, pay tribute to these people and the school that brought them together. Also commemorating the past, the STA Cookbook contains recipes from Mary Smith, St. Albans dietician from 1933 to 1972. Paying tribute to an ongoing tradition, Writers Among Us collects works from past participants in the St. Albans Writer-In-Residence Program.

Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
