At St. Albans, we believe that a sound body is key to a sound mind. St. Albans students strive for greatness in the classroom and on the playing fields. That’s why every student is required to take part in the athletics program every season. St. Albans athletics strives to build community through shared experiences and interests.
Teamwork, individual sacrifice, integrity, sportsmanship, and developing the whole boy are the foundation of the St. Albans athletic program. Lower School boys gain self-confidence and develop physical skills in their younger years and are able to join interscholastic teams starting in Form A (grade 6). Upper School athletics offers 14 varsity sports that compete in the Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) and regionally. Each season Upper School boys are also offered intramural opportunities in voyageur, fitness, and other activities.
Located in Washington D.C., St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
