Performing Arts

Each December, on a wintry night, the St. Albans community gathers in Washington National Cathedral to watch 500 student musicians—situated throughout the glorious Gothic space—sing, dance, and play music before an enthusiastic audience of families, friends and teachers.
Opportunities for performance—including theater, dance, and choral and instrumental music—abound through our Performing Arts Program, coordinate with National Cathedral School.
Students may choose to participate in our active Chorale, Orchestras, Madrigal Singers, Cathedral Dance, Jazz Ensemble,  Thespian Society, and numerous a cappella groups. Soloists, who perfect their art in private lessons, perform on voice and instruments at chapel services and in studio recitals.
Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
