Academics

Welcome

St. Albans strives to give each student a firm grasp of fundamental skills; to develop in each student the ability to think critically, creatively, and independently; and to foster in each an appreciation for the diversity of human experience.

St. Albans encourages its students to pursue their special academic talents in the hope that knowledge, diligently sought and acquired, will lead to wisdom that will serve both the individual and others. Each student's intellectual development should prepare him not only for college but also for life. St. Albans seeks to develop in each student a
breadth as well as a depth of knowledge, to encourage in each student creative and aesthetic appreciation, and to increase in each student an understanding of intellectual and cultural diversity. Through our coordinate program with the National Cathedral School for Girls, students participate in a variety of coeducational activities in academics, athletics, and the arts.
Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
