These small-group classes provide developmentally appropriate opportunities to acquire life-long skills for water safety and fitness for swimmers ages 12 and under. Classes are open to the public. Swim Club membership is not required.
Weekend Program
Open to swimmers age 12 and under. Sessions are offered on Saturdays in the fall and spring. All classes are 30-minutes in duration. All classes meet once per week. Students MUST attend classes for which they register. If a class is missed, then a make-up class will be offered at the end of the session.

Beginners, Ages 3-5
Child does not need any experience but must be able to separate from parent and child must be a minimum of 3 years of age by the 1st day of class. Parents will be asked to start the session in the water with the swimmers. This class teaches children to dogpaddle unaided, float on their back and put their face in the water.
30-minute lesson/1:4 ratio
Beginners, Ages 6+
Child does not need any experience. This class teaches children to be comfortable in the water, getting their face wet and floating on their front and back.

Intermediate, Ages 3-5
Child needs to be able to put face in the water, swim 5 feet unaided and float independently on their back. This class introduces proper freestyle and kicking on their back.

Intermediate, Ages 4+
Child needs to be able to put their face in the water, swim 10 feet unaided and float independently on their back. This class introduces proper freestyle and kicking on their back.
30-minute lesson/1:4 ratio
Advanced, Ages 4+
Child needs to be able to swim freestyle 12.5 yards and kick on their back for 12.5 yards. This class teaches proper freestyle breathing techniques, and introduces backstroke.
30-minute lesson/1:6 ratio
Advanced, Ages 5-12Child needs to be able to swim freestyle for 1 length and kick on their back for 1 length. This class teaches proper breathing techniques, backstroke, and introduces breaststroke.
