The Lower School celebrated the holiday season with winter concerts this week. Form I and II boys joined grade 7 and 8 girls at NCS for the Middle School coordinate concert in Schifter Court, featuring “Hungarian Dance No. 1” by the Middle School Orchestra and “Goin’ Up A Yonder” and “The Cuckoo” by the Middle School Coordinate Chorus. Back in Trapier Theater, Forms C, B, and A featured diverse musical selections performed by each form, the C, B & A Chorus, the Cathedral Choristers, and the Orchestra. Selections included “A Chinese Christmas Carol,” “Niño Lindo,” and “An African Celebration.”
It takes many people to help students perform at their best. Special thanks go to Lower School Music Teacher Shirley Taylor Moore; Orchestra Director Scott Wood; Choral Directors Brandon Straub, Chuck Bowers, and Christen Hernandez; Chorister Program Manager Brian Glosh; and accompanist Aaron Goen for their hard work in preparing students for the performances.
