MAESA Fair Competitions

St. Albans hosted the MAESA (Mid-Atlantic Episcopal Schools Association) Fair this year, welcoming 10 Episcopal schools from the region to campus for a day of competition and fellowship. 

Classrooms and meeting spaces were transformed into competition spaces. Trapier Theater hosted a geography bee. A spelling bee energized the Kellogg Room. In the Activities Gym, families and students perused dozens of science fair projects, while in the bottom floor of Marriott Hall, students’ artwork was proudly displayed. The wrestling room became an exploratorium of 30 hands-on science demonstrations. Math competitions were hosted in classrooms in Marriott Hall.

St. Albans had a wildly successful day, not only in competition, but in the generosity and kindness that students showed to their visitors. It was not uncommon to find a student leading a new friend to their next location, inviting a peer to join them at an event, or cheering on a competitor in an event.

Shiv Patel ’28 — 1st Place Geography Bee (7-8)

Simon Moore ’28 — 1st Place Math competition (7-8)
