Welcome

Arts at St. Albans

St. Albans encourages each student to increase his knowledge of the arts and to gain an aesthetic appreciation for the world around him. By exposing students to a colorful array of visual and performing art opportunities, the school encourages each student to discover and develop his unique talents.

Our performing arts program is coordinated with the National Cathedral School. Starting in Form C (Grade 4), boys and girls may choose to perform in the orchestra. In Forms I and II (Grades 7 and 8), drama classes, theatrical productions, and music ensembles, such as the Middle School Chorus, bring together students from both schools. In the Upper School, nearly all art activities and classes are coordinate, including the theater program and 160-voice Chorale.

Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
