STA Senior Named National Merit Finalist

Congratulations to Steven Xu ’26, who was selected as a 2026 National Merit Scholarship Finalist. The National Merit Scholarship program recognizes students based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Commended students scored in the top 2-3% of test-takers nationwide. Semifinalists, who scored in the top 1%, represented the highest scoring students from each state and DC and could then continue in the finalist competition for some 6,900 National Merit Scholarships. Approximately 15,000 students became finalists and were considered for some 6,900 merit scholarships this spring. Please join us in congratulating these St. Albans seniors.
