The U.S. Department of Education has announced that Lincoln Lim ’26 is a semifinalist for the State of Virginia  in the 2026 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, one of the nation’s highest honors for graduating high school students. Only 627 semifinalists were selected from more than five thousand applicants to advance to the final round. Candidates were invited to apply based on their ACT or SAT scores, and applications were reviewed based additionally on AP exam scores, academic achievement, personal characteristics, an essay, recommendations, and leadership and service activities. This summer, the Commission on Presidential Scholars will select approximately one hundred sixty finalists who will be awarded the U.S. Presidential Scholars medallion at a White House recognition program.
