IAC Championships

About The IAC

St. Albans belongs to the Interstate Athletic Conference (IAC), a conference of schools in the greater Washington Metropolitan Area that seeks to provide training not only in athletics but also in character. The eleven sports of the league are cross-country, soccer, wrestling, basketball, ice hockey, aquatics, baseball, golf, tennis, and track and field. The IAC consists of St. Albans, Georgetown Preparatory, Bullis, Landon, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, and Episcopal High School.

The IAC, originally known as the Academic Athletic Association, later became the Interstate Academic Conference and eventually the Interstate Athletic Conference was founded in 1938.

Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
