Exploring Mystery with Karen Kane

Form B welcomed mystery author and American Sign Language interpreter Karen Kane, who shared excerpts from her newest book, Charlie & Frog: The Boney Hand, and her creative process for writing mystery novels. Kane’s mystery novels explore the adventures of friends Charlie, who can hear, and Frog, who is deaf. Students enjoyed learning signs used by the characters throughout the book, including power, bully, imagination, and a special sign for “boney hand” that Kane created especially for this novel.
