17 Feet of Roman History

Form A students have covered the walls of their hall with images of ancient Rome.
Form A history teacher Grant Brown and Lower School art teacher Sean Nolan collaborated on this project to have students display visually what they’d learned in history class. Students selected a historical event or person from Roman history, researched their subject, drew a picture, and then pieced together a 17-foot-long timeline. “This activity allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the Form A history curriculum as well as see the connections and relationships of the historical events we’ve studied,” noted Mr. Brown. “The students enthusiastically ran with this activity and exceeded our expectations, producing excellent work. Mr. Nolan and I are excited to see what the students will produce for our medieval unit.”
