Enjoy the photos!
Last year the Parents’ Association awarded six Upper School boys with Visual Arts Summer Fellowships enabling them the opportunity to study in-depth the visual artistic medium of their choosing.
The STA community recently gathered to honor these young men and their hard work and talent:
Ethan Child ’21 Jasper Flanagan ’20 Nicolas Maguigad ’21 Matthew Sheets ’19 Geist Topping ’19 Shiva Khanna Yamamoto ’19
The Visual Arts Fellowships, created in 2012-13 by the St. Albans Parents’ Association, offer multiple grants to boys finishing Forms III, IV, or V to stimulate their interest and competence in visual arts during the summer months. The grants could be used to take lessons, workshops, and master classes; to attend summer programs (both residential and nonresidential); and to purchase art supplies for summer work and exploration in any area of visual art, including drawing, painting, videography, game animation, and photography.
The Summer Fellows Exhibition is open 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, until Friday, November 2.
Located in Washington D.C., St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
