Reunion Weekend 2025 Highlights

Reunion Weekend 2025—for those classes ending in 0s and 5s—was a huge success thanks to the many loyal alums who returned to campus.

The 2025 Alumni Association Dinner and Meeting kicked off the weekend on Thursday. Friday, we held our thirty-fourth Bulldog Golf Outing, at the Four Streams Club in Beallsville, Md. Austin Branson ’00, Paul DeRosa ’00, Andrew Giordano ’00, and William Wilkins ’01 won the Trophy. That Friday evening, we hosted NCS at our Reunion BBQ on Senior Circle.

Saturday morning alumni gathered for a memorial chapel service in the Little Sanctuary, birdwatching in Olmsted Woods, and brunch in the Cafritz Refectory.

That afternoon a new documentary 21-14: More than a Score—about the 1994 win over Landon to gain the IAC title—premiered in Trapier Theater. Directed by coach Tommy Walker ’81 and team member Teddy Sullivan ’95 and produced by the Class of 1995, the film offered an ESPN 30 for 30 approach to the season, which started with players Burwell and Sullivan, in spring 1994, telling Coach Douglas Boswell: “We don’t want to lose anymore.”

School archivist Mark Wilkerson and Sullivan introduced the film. After the airing, Coaches Boswell and Walker and teammates Sullivan and Jason Cross ’95 fielded questions during a lively Q and A about what proved to be a transformational season for the players on the field, the coaches, and the St. Albans football program. The class dedicated the film to the memory of team fan and bus driver Edward Magoba and coaches Buddy Burkhead and Don Swagart ’76.

The screening was followed by a beer tasting and networking event in Sam’s Bar, where the school honored retiree Robin Boswell, who had worked in the Admissions and Development and Alumni Relations Offices since 1997.

A dozen class dinners and celebrations around D.C. followed, and the headmaster or his designees were present at each!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a spectacular Reunion Weekend!
