Scenes from Freshman Orientation
Energy, excitement, and, yes, even some nerves — from both students and faculty — filled Trapier Theater this week as our 83 Form III students began freshman orientation on Tuesday.
In a jam-packed day of activities kicked off by a warm welcome from Bert, the school’s therapy dog, students were introduced to their advisors, completed an escape room, learned about academic, social, and spiritual life in the Upper School, and capped off the day with an Italian ice truck and games on the Little Field.
From Dr. Friend breaking down mental health support on campus, to Rev. Elliott speaking about affinity groups, to the BEEF Club bringing the excitement about the upcoming athletic season, the day was designed to ensure Form III students —whether yesterday was there first full day at school or they started in C Form — know that there is a community of support ready to welcome them into the Upper School.
