Spreading Joy with Music

Spreading Joy with Music
For its annual spring trip, this year the Forms C, B & A Chorus sang to an audience of 3rd graders at Beauvoir School with Music teacher Erin Riley and Head of School Cindi Gibbs-Wilborn and other faculty in attendance. The group, which has several Beauvoir alums, was received warmly by students and faculty alike, with an invitation for a return performance. Following their Beauvoir performance, the group headed to Sunrise Assisted Living on Connecticut Avenue, where they have performed twice yearly for the past several years. Among the audience at Sunrise was Mr. Alexander Haslam, who taught science at STA for 45 years. Mr. Haslam and other residents were delighted to hear the boys and applauded the American folk songs that were performed. The trip culminated in a luncheon at Clyde’s of Chevy Chase, joined by Mr. Rob Wolf who drove the bus; Dr. Iris Cheng, accompanist, Ms. Vivian Huang, parent chaperone; and Mrs. Shirley Taylor Moore, director, Forms C, B & A music.
