Pandaversary

Coordinate Chinese classes recently visited the Chinese Embassy for Pandaversary to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the giant pandas’ arrival in the United States. Students, teachers, and parents screened “The Miracle Panda,” a documentary about a male cub born at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in the summer of 2020. The documentary delved into the 50-year collaboration between scientists, veterinarians, keepers, and conservationists from both China and the U.S. to save giant pandas from extinction. Enjoy photos from all the panda-monium!
