AAAPI Affinity Group Potluck + Movie Night

To celebrate Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, more than fifty Asian and Pacific Islander heritage families recently hosted a potluck and movie night. This is event was organized by STA-NCS AAAPI affinity groups and diversity team. Families brought their homemade dishes, snacks, and beverages to enjoy on Decker Terrace before moving into Trapier Theater to watch the first Asian superhero movie from Marvel, “Shang Chi.”

Students and parents expressed their excitement about the event:

“It was such a wonderful opportunity for both STA and NCS communities to mingle and to share good food.”

“It was so nice to gather in celebration of community. The food was amazing, and I really appreciated the opportunity to meet NCS and Upper School families with whom I’d not previously crossed paths.”

“Like all good Asian celebrations and gatherings, we all left with a full belly and full heart!”
