Charles Snowden ’17 Returns for Upper School Assembly

“Be Proud St. Albans Men”

The Upper School community welcomed back Charles Snowden ’17 for an assembly this spring where Snowden shared how his experience at St. Albans prepared him for life as a student-athlete at the University of Virginia and, eventually, the NFL. Snowden reminded current students to be proud St. Albans men. Said Snowden, “The amount of support I had around me [while here] really is the reason I’m here standing [before you today].”

He then sat down for an interview with Head of Upper School Dr. Sam Schaffer who, after reading a list of accolades, noted, “He’s one of the best human beings who’s ever come through this school.” Snowden closed candidly answering a wide spectrum of questions from students and faculty and stayed behind to shake hands and pose for selfies with students, and of course, Dr. Schaffer.
