Team-building Efforts Reach New Heights

Form I spent a beautiful fall day high up among the leaves at Calleva’s challenge ropes course at the Madeira School. Students engaged in several team-building activities, including an obstacle course and a climb on a high ladder known as Jacob’s Ladder that required them to work together and use their communication and problem-solving skills. They finished the day by discussing ways these newly learned skills would help them “burnish the shield”—a theme Lower School Head Fred Chandler is using this year to encourage the boys to work hard at school and shine with their efforts.
