The Art of Observation

Sean Nolan, C, B, & A Art teacher, shared that his C Formers have been sketching the National Cathedral with impressive results. Said Nolan, “C Form students took advantage of the nice weather and beautiful location to practice the art of observation. The boys sat on the Cathedral lawn observing details in the magnificent Gothic architecture—columns, doors, archways, and stained glass windows—and put those reflections to paper. Later at home, they used a worksheet to sketch again from memory.” Observing the Details
