Colorful Reactions

Ms. George’s Form IV Chemistry students are currently studying acids and bases and experimenting with the colorful reactions they can produce. Boys were tasked to make their own acid-base indicators by boiling a mixture of water and various fruits and vegetables they had at home, including blueberries, red cabbage, and apple peel. They then added different acids and bases, such as lemon juice, baking soda, and vinegar, to their indicator to observe the color reactions. Enjoy their experiment results!
