Morehead-Cain Scholars Announced

Untitled

Brandon Torng ’20 (left) and Nolan Musslewhite ’20 (right) were recently awarded the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Torng will join 70 other scholars in UNC’s Class of 2024; Musslewhite will attend Princeton. The Morehead-Cain Scholarship covers all expenses for four years of undergraduate study at UNC Chapel Hill, and scholars participate in distinctive summer programs to enrich their undergraduate experience. Scholars also have opportunities to deeply explore their personal interests through the Morehead-Cain Discovery Fund.

Torng has served on the Student and Honor Councils at St. Albans, serving as a liaison between students and administrators. He was also a member of the Orchestra and Pit Band, played varsity baseball, and worked as associate news editor for the Saint Albans News. Torng will join fellow Bulldogs and Morehead-Cain Scholars Wesley Price ’16 and Simon Palmore ’19 at UNC in the fall where he plans to study religious studies and philosophy. Congratulations!
