Baseball Claims 2025 DCSAA Championship
The varsity baseball team claimed the DCSAA State title this past week, with a 2-0 victory over Jackson-Reed High School. After a rain-soaked tournament, the Bulldogs and Tigers were scoreless for the better half of five innings. Senior Myles Upchurch then hit a two-run home run to give the Bulldogs a two-run advantage - a lead that they would never relinquish. Upchurch also threw a complete game shutout. Showcasing a complete team-effort, STA didn't allow a run all tournament, outscoring opponents 12-0 across all rounds.
The championship was STA's second in three years. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 23-14 record. Congratulations to your 2025 DCSAA Baseball State Champion STA Bulldogs!
