Summer Reading - Form C

Please Note

All students in Forms C, B & A will be required to read El Deafo by Cece Bell, and all students in Forms I & II will be required to read Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist by Judith Heumann with Kristen Joiner.

A Message from the Form C Teachers

We are excited that you are joining C Form this year as an incoming fourth grade student. The summer months offer a wonderful opportunity to do even more reading than you do during the school year.

One (1) book has already been selected for you; in addition to reading this one pre-selected book, you will choose at least five (5) more titles from the following categories for a minimum of six books (6):

1 – Required: There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom (Sachar)
1 – American Library Association Award Winner or Honor Book
1 – Free choice fiction
1 – Non-fiction (other than graphic novel)
2 – Student choices from any of the lists
You may record and attach all of your vacation reading, including any titles not on the St. Albans list, on the separate Form C Reading Log. We ask that your parent or guardian initial each entry.

Happy reading, and have a wonderful summer!
Mr. Brockway, Ms. Goodyear & Ms. Vural
