Hendricks and Basso Lead STA Baseball to Two Florida Wins

Staff
St. Albans Baseball is off to a great start on their Florida Spring Training trip with an 8-2 win over Lebanon (Oregon) Sunday and two wins Monday, 6-1 win over Portsmouth Abbey School (Rhode Island) and 4-2 over King's Academy (FL).  Senior left-handed pitcher Will Hendricks struck out 5 Abbey batters and gave up just one hit in six innings in the early game Monday.  Senior Alex Giambi put the Ravens down in order in the 7th to close out the game.

The Bulldogs travel to Kings Academy in West Palm Beach for a 6pm game under the lights where junior right-hander Owen Basso threw a complete-game to lead STA to a 4-2 win in front of a large home crowd for the Lions.  Basso struck out 7 and gave up 5 hits in the game.  St. Albans moves to 3-0 in Florida.  Next up is The Brunswick School under the lights at Jackie Robinson Center under the lights Tuesday at 7pm.
