Staff
St. Albans swimming kept its early season hot streak going Tuesday with a dominating win over St. John’s at Lawrence Pool. STA swimmers took first place in every event, and freshman Charlie Greenwood turned in one of the most impressive performances of the day with a 4:50.72 in the 500-yard freestyle,  just 8 seconds shy of the school record. In addition to Greenwood, Zach Cantrell (200-yard freestyle), Shreyan Mitra (200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke), Matthew Fujiyama (50-yard freestyle), Michael Fujiyama (100-yard butterfly), Aidan Chalk (100-yard freestyle), and Fletcher Shaw (100-yard breaststroke) won their individual events. Ethan Ramchand turned in a strong 200-yard individual medley at 32.8, just .17 seconds behind Mitra. Ryan Fredrick was second to Michael Fujiyama in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing just .95 behind.

Bulldog relay teams won the 200-yard medley (Chalk, Shaw, Greenwood, Matthew Fujiyama), 200-yard freestyle (Cantrell, Fletcher Shaw, George Shaw, Jack Thomas), and 400-yard freestyle (Greenwood, Cantrell, Matthew Fujiyama, Chalk).  With the win, St. Albans heads into winter break next week with a 4-0 overall record including 1-0 in the IAC and 3-0 against non-league opponents.  St. Albans’ first meet in the new year will be in the Lawrence Pool on Thursday, January 6, at 4:30 p.m. against the Heights.
