Staff
After their first-place overall finish at the Spiked Shoe Invitational last week, the Bulldogs cross-country team raised its degree of difficulty Saturday, entering the 23-team Judges Classic in Winchester, VA.  Junior Pierre Attiogbe continued his strong start to the season with his third individual first place finish in three meets.  Attiogbe broke the finish line in 16:05, 32 seconds ahead of the next closest runner.  Freshmen Sebi Hume and William Strong ran neck-and-neck for the second straight week, finishing 8th (17:15) and 9th (17:18), respectively.  Aidan Urbina (17:50, 20th) and Jack Thomas (18:20, 34th) also scored for STA, helping them to a team score of 72, just 3 points behind meet winner and host John Handley.

The Bulldogs continue to build their depth as Venya Kuzichev (18:56, 58th) and John Rhee (19:09, 72nd) turned in outstanding times in the field of 142 runners.  Freshman Laszlo Wolfe won the JV race with a speedy 18:21, leading the team to first place overall.  DJ Heiber (18:56, 5th), Joseph Laroski (19:12, 8th), Will Spector (19:23, 10th), Evan Virtue (19:54, 32nd) and Jaylen Wills (19:58, 34th) all broke 20 minutes in the JV race, which had a field of 232 runners.  The Bulldogs look to continue their hot start on the challenging Bull Run Regional Park course at the Glory Days Grill Invitational next Saturday, October 9 in Centreville, VA.  More than 35 teams and 300 runners are expected at what is annually one of the most competitive races of the season.  There are several races scheduled as follows:
