Parents’ Association Summer Fellows Exhibition Reception 2019

Last year the Parents’ Association awarded nine Upper School boys with Visual Arts Summer Fellowships enabling them the opportunity to study in-depth the visual artistic medium of their choosing.

The STA community recently gathered to honor these young men and their hard work and talent:

Erick Buendia ’22
Campbell Holiday ’22
Joseph Laroski ’22
Teddy Lester ’20
Jack Muoio ’20
Hadley Pade ’20
Hanes Rosenau ’20
Fletcher Shaw ’22
Kurt Wass ’21

The Visual Arts Fellowships, created in 2012-13 by the St. Albans Parents’ Association, offer multiple grants to boys finishing Forms III, IV, or V to stimulate their interest and competence in visual arts during the summer months. The grants could be used to take lessons, workshops, and master classes; to attend summer programs (both residential and non-residential); and to purchase art supplies for summer work and exploration in any area of visual art, including drawing, painting, videography, game animation, and photography.

The Summer Fellows Exhibition is open 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, until November 20. All visitors must enter through the Lane-Johnston Building and sign in with the receptionist. Please be respectful during weekly class hours of 8 am and 2:45 pm.

Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
