Alumni Day for the Class of 2019

Dedicated alums returned to St. Albans to spend the day with the Class of 2019 for the annual Alumni Day, co-hosted by the Alumni Association Board and the Office of Alumni Relations. The event provides upcoming graduates a chance to learn more about their future as STA alums and the many ways they can get involved and be active members of the Alumni Association. Alumni Association President Carter DeLorme ’88 kicked off the event with a warm welcome, then joined Sam Brumbaugh ’84, Bobby Cunningham ’11, Matt Grieb ’08, and Jonathan Rickert ’55 for a panel discussion on alumni volunteer service. Recent alums Jasper Boers ’18, George Cook ’17, Guyton Harvey ’17, Chris Howe ’15, James Howe ’18, and Jay Sastry ’18 gave tips on making the most of those college years; and Patrick Bracewell ’98, Jon Nobil ’02, Ben Seesel ’97, Brendan Sullivan ’93, and Gene Wang ’87 shared their varied career paths and stressed the importance of networking during—and after—college. A professional photographer was hired to take headshots for students’ LinkedIn profiles and to encourage the young men to “STAy connected” to their alma mater (via the Alumni App). Alumni Day ended with a full barbeque lunch from Rockland’s—always a highlight for the students.
