Why are Lower Schoolers in free dress today? Mr. Chandler and the prefects came up with a long list of reasons, which were read during lunch announcements yesterday:

  • Good string of chapels

  • Amazing spelling in the D.C. Citywide Spelling Bee
  • Geography Bee
  • Math Team
  • Forms C, B, A and Forms I and II Chorus concerts
  • End of winter sports
  • The Swim Teams end-of-year competitions
  • Start of spring sports
  • Thriving Book Clubs
  • Form II on a good arc of progress
  • The Prefects and the breathtaking Marvelous March initiatives
  • A great Cathedral chapel with the choristers
  • The Form A ROV competition
  • Transformative field trips to the Holocaust Museum, National Gallery of Art, and National Geographic
  • Wonderful helpers at Headmaster’s Reception for newly admitted families
  • Strong school spirit for the admissions shadow days
  • Two Lower Schoolers in the Upper School musical Titanic
