Hats off to newly-formed NYC Bulldog Committee -- Dennis Paul ’91, Jack Balaban ’08 and Nick Folger ’10 -- for organizing the second iteration of the Off-the-Close Networking Series in New York. This Manhattan edition tomorrow evening will feature a conversation with Ted Sullivan ’95 (Founder & CEO Gamechanger Media), Dennis Paul ’91 (Founder & Managing Member, Thyra Global) and Mike Dee ’09 (Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, Foodworks). The conversation will be moderated by Felix Gillette ’95 of Bloomberg Businessweek. A group will be coming from D.C. tomorrow night, and you should come as well! Additional details and registration info are available here.

Acclaimed director Ethan McSweeny ’89 has graciously offered to present insight on his production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at D.C.’s Harman Theater.  Join Headmaster Wilson at a 6 p.m. reception on Sunday evening (followed by a 7:30 curtain) by registering here.

Our BOLD group –the Bulldogs of Last Decades – has a couple of events upcoming about which our younger alumni should be aware: the Annual Post-Thanksgiving Gathering on Friday, November 24 at Buffalo Billiards, always a good time and hosted again this year by Young Alumni chair Al Koroma ’09 and friends. Additionally, for our BOLD alumni who are back in town early for the holidays and are hoping to hit Lessons and Carols on December 15, the Alumni Association is hosting a Cocoa and Cookies “Open House” reception before L&C begins. Please join us at 5 pm in the Common Room for a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and special faculty member hosts Donna Denize and Ted Eagles before heading off for that cherished holiday tradition, Lessons and Carols in the Cathedral!

For those of you who were able to join us on October 26 in beautiful Beallsville, MD (and even for those of you who were not) we attach this slideshow, which shows if not beautiful swings and form, then at least the lovely fall foliage in the Maryland countryside.  Many thanks to all of you who came and supported the Vernon W. Holleman Jr. ’54 Golf Tournament!

Sincerely,

Lanier Frank ’79

For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
