Success at Stotesbury

Congratulations!

Crew 2019
The STA crew had an exciting weekend competing at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in Philadelphia. For the first time in the team’s twenty-five year history, all four boats advanced to the finals. Our freshman 8 earned a bronze medal under the guidance of Coach Tom Cosgrove. The junior 4, coached by David Mottola, won the George Mattison Trophy, and the second 8 won the Gus “The Hammer” Ignas Trophy. The first 8 had a wonderful semi-final, beating cross-town rivals Gonzaga, and advancing to the final, where they came in sixth place. Head Coach Ted Haley, who leads the first and second 8s, was extremely pleased with the efforts of the boys, describing the weekend as one of the team’s “finest hours.” Congratulations!
