Annual Giving

How to Give

Every boy who passes through the halls of St. Albans directly benefits from the generosity of those who support Annual Giving. Simply said, St. Albans wouldn't continue to be St. Albans without the sustained support of alumni, parents, and friends. Thank you!

Your contribution to Annual Giving supports the School's most critical and immediate needs, including scholarships, faculty recruitment and retention, and facilities maintenance and renovation. By making an outright gift of cash or appreciated securities, donors may be entitled to an income tax deduction in the year of the gift. Should you wish to make a leadership contribution to the school, please review our Headmaster's Associates gift levels, and contact Executive Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations Bobby Cpin at 202-537-5682 or for more information.

  • Make Your Gift in Stock

A gift of appreciated securities (held for more than one year) provides a tax deduction for the full value of the donated shares, without the responsibility for capital gains. Detailed instructions for making a gift of stock are available here.
  • Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching-gift programs and will match any charitable contribution made by their employees. The impact of your gift to St. Albans could be doubled or possibly tripled!  To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please use our Matching Gift Company Search.
  • Make a Recurring Gift

Recurring monthly gifts are an easy way to increase your generosity. We welcome gifts and payments by VISA, MasterCard and American Express. We offer a monthly recurring credit-card option that ends June 30 (cards are typically charged on the last Friday of the month). To set up your recurring gift, please call 202-537-6409 and ask to speak with a member of our staff.
  • Make Your Gift Through Bill Pay

Checks may be issued directly through your bank using your online Bill Pay account and provide a convenient way to pay your pledge in installments over time. Please make sure to include "Annual Giving" in the memo line. If you already make tuition payments through Bill Pay, please consider setting up a separate account for St. Albans Annual Giving to ensure that your gift goes where it is intended. Questions? Plesase call 202-537-6409.
  • Plan Your Gift

At St. Albans, we describe a planned gift as a contribution made with the right property, at the most opportune time, in the most advantageous form for maximum benefit to the School and the donor. Planned gifts may be outright, in trust, by will or in some combination. The Planned Giving Office assists donors in meeting philanthropic and personal planning objectives. It's never too early to consider planning your gift, please contact Bobby Cpin at or 202-537-5682 for more information.
  • St. Albans Headmaster's Associates

Donors who contribute more than $2,500 (and young alumni who contribute $500, $1,000, or $1,500 or more) are recognized, with great thanks, as members of the Headmaster’s Associates. Year after year, leadership provides the foundation upon which Annual Giving success is built.
