Leyden ’24 Semifinalist in Presidential Scholars Program

The U.S. Department of Education has announced that Form VI student Connor Leyden is a semifinalist for the District of Columbia in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, one of the nation’s highest honors for graduating high school students. Candidates are reviewed based on standardized test scores, academic achievement, personal characteristics, an essay, and leadership and service activities. In May, the Commission on Presidential Scholars will select approximately 160 finalists, who will be awarded the U.S. Presidential Scholars medallion at a White House recognition program in June.
