Mason Lecky Named Head of St. Christopher’s

Congratulations to former STA Admissions Director Mason Lecky!
We are pleased to report that former St. Albans’ Admissions Director Mason Lecky has been named the seventh headmaster of St. Christopher's School, an Episcopal school for boys in Mr. Lecky’s hometown of Richmond, Va.
“Mason’s incredibly strong fit with our culture and his critical competencies in scholarly values, inspirational presence, and executive leadership distinguished him,” said Thurston Moore, chair of St. Christopher’s Board of Governors. “He will bring us a wealth of independent-school experience with significant success as a teacher, coach, mentor, and leader.”

At St. Albans, in addition to serving as our director of admissions, Mr. Lecky was director of financial aid, a sixth- and ninth-grade teacher, a three-sport coach, director of communications and publications, and chair of the admissions, financial aid, and school accreditation committees. After leaving St. Albans, Mr. Lecky became head of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in New Orleans.

A Klingenstein Heads Fellow at Columbia University, Mr. Lecky received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his Ed.M. in school leadership from Harvard.

We congratulate Mr. Lecky, while welcoming his wife, Megan, and their children, Patrick, Carter and Mary, back to the region in July 2016.
