Blessing of the Animals 2016

Enjoy the photos!

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis, St. Albans held its annual Blessing of the Animals ceremonies this week. During the Upper School ceremony on October 5, the Vestry members read the names of students' family pets, said a prayer for those pets lost in the last year, and Rev. Hundley invited all pets in attendance to the stage for a special blessing and, of course, a treat. During the Lower School ceremony on October 6, the Vestry members offered various readings, C Formers shared prayers for their pets and all animals, Vestry members read the prayer of St. Francis, and then the animals in attendance were blessed by Rev. Humphrey. Thank you to all the families who participated in the special chapel service. Enjoy the photos!
