Fire Away! Physics Students Test Catapults

Enjoy the photos!

Upper School Physics students took to Steuart Field on May 19, to test out their physics and engineering skills on catapults designed for either distance or precision. Elastic powered impact devices were very popular, and several groups did manage very powerful shots. Spotters placed flags on the catapults’ landing points, and Mr. Segal ’00 measured the distance from the catapult for those testing for distance or the distance between two different landing points from the catapult when testing for precision. Congratulations to all the boys – and girls – in physics. Enjoy the photos!
