We are pleased to report that STA's former Assistant Director of Admissions Malcolm Lester has been named the Head of School at National Presbyterian School, a co-educational elementary school in Northwest Washington.

“Malcolm brings an impressive combination of leadership experience, educational vision, knowledge of the local market, and commitment to faith-based education,” said Mark Goodin, president of NPS's Board of Trustees. “He possesses the skills and experience to ensure that our school will continue to thrive in the years to come.”

Mr. Lester served the STA commnity for more than twenty years in various roles, including English teacher, head lacrosse coach, assistant director of admissions, and director of the Skip Grant Program. After leaving St. Albans, he went on to become the head at Grace Episcopal Day School in Kensington, Md. Mr. Lester received his B.A. in English from Springfield College, an M.A. in English from the College of William and Mary, and an M.A. in school counseling from Trinity Washington University. He and his wife, Hilary Cairns, have three children: Page, Teddy, and Grant.
