Communications Associate and Web Content Manager
Communications Associate and Web Content Manager with five years’ experience sought for busy school communications office. The ideal candidate will be web savvy, talented at writing, and knowledgeable of emerging communication technologies. Candidate should also be extremely well-organized and comfortable juggling multiple tasks. Must have solid experience with content management systems for data-driven web sites. Knowledge of HTML, CMS, CSS, Blackbaud NetCommunity, Raiser’s Edge, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, Excel, and the print-production process useful.

Associate Director of Annual Giving & Reunion Giving
The Associate Director of Annual Giving and Reunion Giving is responsible for planning and managing the fundraising efforts of alumni classes celebrating Reunions. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Associate Director will be a key player in helping the School to grow its unrestricted giving program as St. Albans ramps-up for a new comprehensive fundraising effort. Responsibilities include supporting volunteers; soliciting and closing Reunion Gifts; and creating and implementing creative strategies to garner alumni generosity for Annual Giving and other key School priorities leading up to and during Reunion years.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, with 3-4 years of professional fundraising and volunteer management experience (preferably in education, non-profit, sales/marketing, or communications). Candidates should thrive in a team environment, possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, highly organized, extremely attentive to detail, motivated, energetic, and able to work independently. Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities under changing circumstances; to work collaboratively in accordance with supervisory input; to meet deadlines; and to be able to balance the needs of numerous constituencies including senior administration, trustees, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and students. Candidates must have strong computer skills with a high degree of proficiency with the Windows computer environment, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a willingness to learn new applications as needed. Candidates with two years of experience with The Raiser’s Edge fundraising software are strongly preferred. Availability and willingness to work outside the normal schedule including early mornings, evenings, school holidays, and weekends, as well as the flexibility to travel outside DC is required.
Salary and Benefits: Salary for this full-time, 12 month position is commensurate with experience and education. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, access to group medical, dental, and life insurance; and matching contributions for retirement.This position is not eligible for tuition remission for children attending St. Albans or National Cathedral Schools beyond that made available through each school’s need-based financial aid process.
Varsity Assistant Baseball Coaches
St. Albans School of Washington, DC is looking for two varsity assistant coaches for the 2013 season. Ideally the coaches would have collegiate coaching or playing experience and be interested in a multi-year commitment to help build the program. Position specialties should include pitching and or outfield play. The season begins in late February and runs through late May. Practices run from 3:30-6PM and games are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Stipends provided based on experience. Tennis Camp Counselors
St. Albans Tennis Club is looking for counselors and coaches to help run the 2013 summer tennis camp (June 10 to August 16). We run the camp for 10 weeks; Mondays through Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. College players and advanced high school players are encouraged to apply. We are seeking enthusiastic, well-rounded professionals and young people who are able to teach tennis. Candidate will take direction from the Tennis Camp Director and fill-in on matters as they relate to Summer Tennis Camp and possibly, the Tennis Club. Must enjoy working with children of all ages. Must be flexible, patient, and positive. Must be able to supervise campers through all of their activities, with safety as the foremost priority.
