Michael Wiacek ’12 and Nelson Reed ’13 Return to St. Albans
to Perform with Yale’s Baker’s Dozen, March 9
On Sunday, March 9, the Baker’s Dozen of Yale University will be performing in St. Albans' Trapier Theater from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The group features two alumni from St. Albans: Michael Wiacek ’12 and Nelson Reed '13.
The Baker’s Dozen, known across America as one of the nation’s oldest and finest a cappella singing groups, was founded in the summer of 1947. After more than six decades, members of the Baker’s Dozen, also known as the BDs, have upheld their traditions of brotherhood and unrivaled passion for music. In recent years, the group has entertained everyone from orphaned schoolchildren in Puerto Rico to the president of the United States. Their concerts feature an engaging mix of traditional favorites and contemporary hits, from the time-honored “Loch Lomond” to The Temptations, The Beatles, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles, and more!

Attention Baseball Alumni!
You are cordially invited to come and relive the glory days at Satterlee-Henderson Field on Saturday, April 5th for the Annual St. Albans Baseball Alumni Game and BBQ. Please come and watch the end of the baseball team's scrimmage, meet new Head Coach RJ Johnsen, and then lace up your old spikes for batting practice and a seven inning game starting at 3:00pm.
At 12:30, the Varsity Baseball team will be having an intrasquad scrimmage in preparation for the first IAC contest versus Georgetown Prep that coming Tuesday. You are invited to come and watch the end of that scrimmage as you catch up with old teammates. Once the field is cleared, around 2:30 p.m., the coaching staff will throw batting practice on the field, hit fungoes, and get everyone ready for the game with first pitch being at 3:00pm. Starting at 2:30 there will be a BBQ lunch served throughout the game. Please come, please bring your families, and get ready to get out there and compete!
Please R.S.V.P. to Coach Johnsen at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include what position(s) you would like to play and if you are interested or willing to pitch.
We look forward to seeing you all this spring!

Introducing the BOLD Group
(Bulldogs of the Last Decade)
So, what is BOLD?
The BOLD group consists of STA alumni who graduated within the last ten years. The BOLD program aims to connect with young alumni through a combination of events and electronic communication. While electronic connection is vital and convenient for connecting with young alumni, it will not replace personal outreach. One goal of the BOLD program is to strengthen the young alumni bond with St. Albans and to get young alumni to become active members of the alumni community. Fostering this deep alumni connection to the School is vital in building a lifelong relationship.
