In classrooms and concert halls, in the Little Sanctuary and on the stage, on athletic fields and at social service outings, in the science laboratories and the libraries, St. Albans School faculty members instruct, encourage and inspire our students. In their commitment to their fields of expertise, and in their readiness to engage and guide our students, St. Albans teachers create a vital and exciting atmosphere of learning on the Close.

In the 2007-2008 academic year, St. Albans employed 94 full-time faculty members (teachers and coaches), with 64% holding advanced degrees. The average length of tenure at St. Albans is twelve years. Almost half of the faculty (forty-six members) has served the School for over ten years; twenty-six have served for over twenty years; and six have served for over thirty years. The faculty is approximately 70% male and 30% female.

They have earned undergraduate and advanced degrees from around the world, with the greatest number from American University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, Harvard University, University of Maryland, and Yale University.
