Camp DescriptionTh is camp seeks to develop players’ lacrosse skills, and is geared towards both experienced and novice lacrosse players. Coaches have designed a fun and competitive program of drills, instruction, and controlled scrimmages to teach throwing, catching, cradling, ground balls, etc., as well as team concepts. A goalie coach will be on staff to work individually with the goalkeepers. Each afternoon begins with a stretching and calisthenics period, which also includes a “Lax Trivia Session” for which prizes are awarded. Players will then break into groups based on age and skill, where they first work on individual lacrosse skills, then partake in “stations” (a different point of emphasis is taught at each session); and then work on learning team concepts. Each evening concludes with at least an hour of full-field scrimmaging. The abundance of playing space and coaches at the camp allows boys to be separated into various groups according to age and ability.
