SKILLSSkills Development, Grades 2-5
One of our most popular classes, this comprehensive course is designed for children who have completed grades 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. It maintains a low student to teacher ratio, allowing for more personal attention than is available in a traditional classroom setting. Each day, approximately one hour is devoted to each of the following: reading and comprehension skills; language arts/ writing; and mathematics. Short breaks for physical activity and snacks are built into the schedule. Classes are grouped according to age/grade, and lessons are geared toward meeting the needs of the students in each section. The main purpose of this class is to hone and reinforce, not to introduce new skills. A narrative progress report will be provided at the end of the six weeks.
